CRaTER The primary goal of the Cosmic Ray Telescope for the Effects of Radiation is to characterize the global lunar radiation environment and its biological impacts.
LAMP The Lyman-Alpha Mapping Project's main mission is to find water ice in deep polar craters using ultraviolet light generated by stars as well as the hydrogen atoms that are thinly spread throughout the solar system.
LEND The Lunar Exploration Neutron Detector will measure the flux of neutrons from the Moon in order to detect possible near-surface water ice deposits.
LROC The Lunar Orbiter Camera is designed to address two of the LRO mission requirements: i) Landing site certification and ii) Polar illumination.
LOLA The Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter will deliver elevation and surface roughness measurements.
The Diviner Lunar Radiometer Experiment is funded by NASA through the Lunar
Reconnaissance Orbiter Project at NASA Goddard.
The instrument is built and
operated by JPL.
